One-to-One Behaviour Consultations – I will come to your home. During the visit I carry out:
- A complete assessment of your dog
- An assessment of the environment
- An assessment of your dog’s behaviour
A consultation usually lasts between two to three hours. During the visit I will give general advice and prepare a behaviour modification programme, making sure that you fully understand what needs to be done to bring about a change in your dog’s behaviour. Ongoing support is offered by telephone. Usually I will call you one week after the consultation visit and then as necessary to monitor progress. In addition to these planned follow-up calls, you can call me if you have any questions or concerns about the programme or your dog’s behaviour. Please phone me to discuss your problem with no obligation and to obtain a price.
If you have pet insurance check the wording of your policy carefully as you may be able to claim for a behavioural consultation. If your policy does cover behaviourist fees the first step is to arrange a consultation with your vet who will assess your dog and, if appropriate, make a referral to me. A claim cannot be made without referral from a vet.
Follow-Up Visits – In certain cases, it may be beneficial to arrange follow-up home visits. The number of visits will depend upon the type of behaviour problem and will be charged at a reduced rate.
Advice Visits – A home visit to advise on general puppy and dog behaviour issues and to give one-to-one obedience training. Please call me directly for my prices.
If you feel you and your dog could benefit from a consultation please contact me my phone or email.
